Beaches

Friendly Beaches - 10min drive back along Coles Bay drive, a striking contrast of white sand and blue/turquoise sea. Great when the winds coming from the W, NW and SW

Muirs Beach - 10min drive into Coles Bay and opposite the Tavern. Great picnic facilities, toilets and outdoor shower. Great swimming with little to no waves and shallow waters, faces SW so protected from the N, NE, E and SE winds.

Richardsons Beach - 15 min drive into the national park and located near Freycinet Lodge so ideal for afternoon sips and dips. The lodge has a public bar with amazing views and a grand fireplace. Beautiful walking beach with heaps of muscles and oysters at the southern end. Protected from the N, NE, E and SE winds.

Honeymoon Bay - Just around from Richardsons Beach, a beautiful idyllic bay with a beach.

Hidden bays - Drive past Muirs Beach and the Tavern along the Esplanade and you will notice a few bays on your right. About 400m meters past the Tavern you will see a small gravel parking bay on the right, park here and you can explore. Great for picnics, sun- soaking, snorkelling and fishing.

Wineglass Bay - Tasmania's most famous beach, highly photogenic and untouched. Decent hike or catch the ferry cruise.

Point Meredith - 8 minute drive into this stunning small sandy beach. Beautiful walk alongside the lagoon edge into Pelican Bay while the sun sets.

Walks & Sights

The Hazards - Breathtaking granite peaks form a barrier across the national park. Giving off a pink tint and adding to amazing sunsets and sunrises.

Cape Tourville - Lighthouse within the national park offers glimpses into Wineglass Bay and a chance to spot marine life, including whales.

Wineglass Bay Lookout - 60-90min 2.6km return walk

Mount Amos - Challenging track around 3hrs return 3.6km, Extraordinary views.
